Boku Abel

The Buku Abel washing station, owned by Demissie Edema, is located in the village of Buku in the Guji zone, 400 km south of Addis Ababa. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the station benefits from a cool climate and rich vegetation. Cherries mature slowly, resulting in dense, high-quality beans. Carefully handpicked and dried on raised bamboo beds, this natural process has earned Buku Abel top honors in the Taste of Harvest Ethiopia in 2016 and 2017.
