Grown in the lush, water-rich highlands of Guadalupe, Huila, La Virgen is produced by a cooperative of traditional farmers dedicated to quality and sustainability. Farms average five hectares and benefit from cool climates, nutrient-rich soils, and abundant rainfall. Harvested selectively and processed using extended washed fermentation, this lot is part of Caravela’s long-standing partnership with the region.

Filter

We recommend using the golden 1:16 ratio (one gram of coffee to every 16 grams of water). This recipe is a good starting point, but you can fine-tune it to suit your taste. Get your water as hot as you can, and adjust the grind size to achieve a 3-4 minute brew time (The finer the grind, the longer it will take to brew).
