February has been an incredible month for BEANS! From introducing new roasters and hosting our first coffee tasting event to attending the Irish Brewers Cup, there's been plenty to be excited about. Here's a recap of what we’ve been up to and a look ahead at what’s coming next.
Welcoming 3 New Roasters & 13 Amazing Coffees
Last month, we had the pleasure of introducing three amazing roasters to the BEANS lineup—Hex, Pinecone, and Sumo. With them, we introduced 13 incredible new coffees, each bringing something unique to the table. It’s always exciting to expand our offering and share more of the world’s best coffee with you.
The Subscription Experiment (Why I Scrapped It)
I spent way too much time developing a subscription service, only to realise it was adding unnecessary complexity. More importantly, it was taking me away from what I truly love—sourcing amazing coffees and building relationships with roasters. So, while I'm happy I explored this avenue, I've decided to scrap it and keep things simple.
The website has been reverted back, and for those of you who love stocking up on coffee, you can still enjoy the 10% off 2 bags and 15% off 3 bags or more—as before.
Our First Coffee Tasting Event in Cork
One of the biggest highlights of February was hosting our first-ever coffee tasting event in Cork at the Bookshelf Cafe (Elysian). The turnout was amazing, and the feedback was even better! I’m still buzzing from the experience, and it’s something we’ll definitely be doing again.
Irish Brewers Cup: A First for Me
I also attended my first Irish Brewers Cup, and wow—the level of competition was incredible. It was great to see familiar faces up on stage showcasing their craft. A huge congrats to Barry McGeehin from April Coffee, who took home the gold! If you want to read more about the event, check it out here.
What’s Coming in March?
March is shaping up to be even bigger. Black & White Coffee Roasters—one of the most well-known roasters in the world—is coming to BEANS! I’ll be showcasing two of their wildest coffees, along with more incredible Irish roasters on BEANS Marketplace. Stay tuned, because there’s plenty more to come!
Let’s Keep the Conversation Going
I always love hearing from you—whether it’s about the coffees you’re enjoying or any ideas on how I can improve BEANS. Feel free to drop me a message on our Instagram!
